About

Welcome, Traveler. Here are some things worth knowing.

The Setting

The setting of most Infinity Game Studios products is called Creation. This is a single galaxy somewhere far, far away. It’s name is Creation. Within this galaxy are a number of habitable regions including one nebula known as the Astral. The Astral is divided into thousands of worlds separated by and endless sea of mist and light, the nebula itself. The setting is still being written down and the number of products and novels that can be made in it are endless. It doesn’t end. The company is named after it, not the other way around.

Collaboration and Partnership

Hello there Traveler. Are you an artist, writer, coder, or animator? Do you need a setting for your next work of art, novel, video game, or movie? Well Infinity Game Studios can help with that. I have a two tiered collaboration and partnership structure that is designed to ensure everyone in the Fandom has a setting for their next creative work. Signing up is as simple as sending me a message on social media.

Tier One

All species and species names in the setting are closed species. Tier One grants permission to use these species and their species names in art, stories, games and other media. This is designed for people who make ref sheets, art, or graphic design products.

Tier Two

The setting is a lot vaster than just the species who live there. Tier Two allows for use of the entire setting and its nations, magic system, history, culture and technology. Any variety of product can be made using the setting with this level of permission. Here are a few best practices to follow while doing so.

Use your own characters that you are familiar with writing.

Sex scenes are allowed but must be respectful to the characters.

Don’t blow up a planet.

Don’t change the rules of magic as outlined in the RPG game line or other game lines.

Signing Up

To sign up just message me on social media and we can arrange something. Current social media is listed below. There is no sign up fee but I do ask that you and your team buy some of the RPG game line books in print in hardcover for each team member. This not only pays me for designing the setting but also ensures you have the knowledge needed to make art or stories set in it. I ask that you buy one copy per team member and I can provide a list of what books would be helpful with what job. That’s it. Fare thee well Traveller.

Print Books

My games are also available in print. I do all the printing and book binding myself. I own an incredibly high-end desktop printer. It’s a laser ink tank printer from the hp company. I will be printing all my RPG manuals on it and hand binding them with report or hardcover report bindings. I’m still adjusting the prices of my print game manuals to account for the price of paper and binding materials. Expect them to go up over time until I finalize the printing system. I’m working on finding the exact right paper and colours of bindings for the books. These books will all be available at conventions within a year.

The Always in Print Promise

You might have noticed that none of the company’s games have edition numbers in them. There is no first edition or second edition of any of them. This is intentional. The games don’t have editions. They’re released when they are done and they stay done. Most of the games that are for sale here took over a decade of work each to make. They worked the first time. They’re staying that way. This means that no product will eve be out of print. 20 years from now the product catalogue will have grown, not shrank.

Inspirations

The Astral setting contains a vast and intricate array of cultures. The inspirations for all of these always lie in the real world we live in. I wanted a setting where everyone feels included and everyone can have their favorite thing. The Astral setting is vast to accommodate that goal. These real life influences also include real life mythology and spirituality in large quantities.

In order to make the magic system in the setting I have read dozens of books. I’ve studied Norse myths, Egyptian myths, Sumerian myths, Hebrew mysticism, Wicca, Paganism, lucid dreaming, astrology and Celtic mythology. I’ll get to Greek myths when I have the time. I can read Norse runes, I know the names of most of the Egyptian pantheon and I can cast a candle spell with the best of them. Magic is a very real thing and it is to be respected for what it is. On this philosophy I built the setting. Everyone is welcome. Period.
